Color contrast checker

Check whether two colors have enough contrast

Text contrast is the luminance difference between foreground and background colors. Higher contrast usually makes text easier to read. This tool calculates the WCAG contrast ratio and shows the common AA and AAA thresholds for normal and large text.

For WCAG contrast, 4.5:1 is the AA threshold for normal text and 3:1 for large text. AAA uses 7:1 for normal text and 4.5:1 for large text. Interface components and non-text graphics can have additional requirements depending on context.

Both selected colors are stored in the URL for easy sharing.
